The ‘Despacito’ reign over top of YouTube’s most viewed videos ever ended. The successor is the Children’s music video ‘Baby Shark’, which starts to bear one of the heaviest titles.
As of the writing of this article, the video had already been viewed more than 7,051 million times on the platform. In total, it has more than 22 million “likes” and 10 million “dislikes”.
This South Korean children’s song landed on YouTube for the first time in 2016, and quickly became a hit. It even reached the Billboard top 100 in 2019.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, a version of the song that promotes hand washing was also launched this year. And this new success will certainly have helped to leverage the original version.
Whoever is left behind is Luis Fonsi’s song ‘Despacito’, which boasts 7,039 million views on the platform. This is there from this January 2017.
