The new feature gives users the ability to cancel background noise with a simple click. This kind of features already exists in good video editors, so it’s good to see that Google has worked hard to bring you to YouTube.
How Noise Canceling Works on YouTube Stories
The new functionality is quite simple and the difference in quality is huge. We still don’t know when the new feature will reach all users and content creators, however, it shouldn’t take long.
As we can see in the videos above, the functionality is not perfect, however, even in the best video editors it is. It is not exactly simple to effectively identify background noise. This is because the recording takes place on a single microphone.
However, Google software works miracles (just look at the cameras on your smartphones). The voice is slightly cut off at the end of the sentences, however, it is perfectly noticeable. In fact, it is much better than an annoying noise.
Instagram really has to copy this feature
It goes without saying that Instagram is one of those applications without shame in the face. After copying Snapchat stories, Instagram decided to copy TikTok functionality with the new Instagram Reels.
However, it was good that Instagram also focused on content quality and this feature gives us a seriously considerable difference. Hopefully, Instagram developers will activate cut-and-paste functionality with this feature.
