Your Phone: app receives one of the most desired news from Android

When we think of an integration between devices (such as a computer and a smartphone), it is the Apple ecosystem that first comes to mind. But the Your Phone app, for Windows, does an even better job ‘across the bridge’.

This is the app that connects your Android smartphone with your PC. And now it is also possible to run apps from your Android in individual windows in Windows 10. Unfortunately it will not be a feature for everyone.

Functionality only works on compatible Samsung smartphones

This feature is only available with certain Samsung smartphones. More specifically, if you have one of the last tops of the South Korean brand range or one of the last A range, you will have access to this feature.

Smartphones that support Apps functionality on Your Phone:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9
  • Samsung Galaxy S9
  • Samsung Galaxy S9 +
  • Samsung Galaxy Note10
  • Samsung Galaxy Note10 +
  • Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite
  • Samsung Galaxy Fold
  • Samsung Galaxy S10
  • Samsung Galaxy S10 +
  • Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
  • Samsung Galaxy S10e
  • Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A8s
  • Samsung Galaxy A30s
  • Samsung Galaxy A31
  • Samsung Galaxy A40
  • Samsung Galaxy A41
  • Samsung Galaxy A50
  • Samsung Galaxy A50s
  • Samsung Galaxy A51
  • Samsung Galaxy A51 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A60
  • Samsung Galaxy A70
  • Samsung Galaxy A70s
  • Samsung Galaxy A71
  • Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A80
  • Samsung Galaxy A90s
  • Samsung Galaxy A90 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy S20
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 +
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Fold
  • Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G

The functionality was being tested for some time, and has now started to reach the users in a gradual way. It is good to bear in mind that it will only be possible to run one app at a time, but improvements are being prepared accordingly.

This is a very interesting feature, as until now only apps could be mirrored. Even better would be if the functionality could be extended to more than Samsung equipment.
