What to see on Netflix this week
We told you that this is undoubtedly a good week for those who like to discover new proposals and the person responsible for it is undoubtedly Netflix, which is loaded with releases for the remaining six days of February.
The fun starts this same Wednesday 26th with the premiere of the first season of This shit surpasses me. The series, as we told you, is based on a comic created by Charles Forsman, also responsible for the graphic novel The End of the F *** World. Best of all, Jonathan Entwistle, in charge of bringing this latest story to Netflix – two fantastic seasons that you can see here – is also the director of this new proposal in which we meet a rebel teenager named Sidney who discovers that It has powers.
A day later, the Thursday 27, we have another strong entrance: the season 2 from Altered Carbon, and it comes with a change of face. Takeshi Kovacs will now be played by Anthony Mackie (our beloved avenger Falcon in Marvel movies), who will be responsible for bringing the mercenary to life in this futuristic story. If the change strikes you, remember: in Richard K. Morgan’s novel it is possible to change the body, hence we will now follow the adventures of Kovacs with another aspect.
Also the day of February 27 we have the landing of the japanese series Followers, the mexican proposal Rampant and a great premiere for the youngest of the house: the movie Pokémon Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution.
On the 28th, Friday, you will be equally entertained with Season 1 of Netflix’s first African original series, Queen Sono, the romantic movie Violet and Finch and the spanish The infinite trench, based on real events (about the Civil War) and that was nominated in this latest edition of the Goya to 15 categories, winning in Best Sound and Best Leading Actress.
Also on 28 you can enjoy the second season of Formula 1: The emotion of a Grand Prix, a special documentary in which you can see everything that happened in the 2019 Formula 1 season.
What to see on HBO this week
HBO is pretty lazy again this week as for actual news. Despite this, we must not overlook that Friday 28 you will have available to watch the movie Chocolate City, of 2015, about a university student who starts working in a strip club secretly to solve their economic problems, and that the same day the little ones have double departure: with an update of season 1 of Mighty Mike and season 5 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
As for loose chapters of seasons already released, yes we have tickets to consider. Today, February 24th, you have already a click of chapter 8 of season 1 of The visitor; episode 6 of season 5 of Avenue; and chapter 6 of season 10 of Larry david.
Morning, tuesday 25, you will see new episodes of McMillions (S1, episode 4), The Super Friend (T2, episodes 5 and 6), All american (S2, E14), Batwoman (season 1, E13) and Supergirl (S5, E13). The Wednesday 26 we have episode 6 of season 5 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and the Friday 28 arrive Katy Keene (Season 1, episode 4) and Last week tonight with John Oliver (S7, E2).
The saturday 29 you can entertain yourself with episode 4 of season 4 of Hight Maintenance, episode 3 of season 7 of Stike Back: One Last Shot and episode 14 of the second season of Haunted
What to see on Amazon Prime Video
We finished the review week with the news of Prime Video. Or, rather, with the no news of Prime Video. The platform has not saved any ace in the manga for this end of the month and prefers to continue pulling its last major premiere, Hunters, which arrived last Friday 21 to everyone’s delight – if you haven’t seen it yet, you should give it a try.
What do you think of the premieres for the remainder of February? Something you will be looking forward to?
