Through MiTVIndia's Twitter, Xiaomi has announced that Netflix will now be supported by its TVs. This means that by simply upgrading, Mi TV users will be able to source Netflix, just like most Smart TVs.
The video published by Xiaomi shows a preview of the Sacred Games series, the first original Netflix series produced in India. For Indian users, this is great news as they can now view Netflix natively on their TVs.
Considering that Xiaomi and Redmi are the most popular brands in the country, this is a case of 'joining business with pleasure'. Netflix will hit Mi TVs from September 17th.
OnePlus could be Xiaomi's next competitor
OnePlus is getting closer to launching its OnePlus TV, which will value quality and value in order to win over users. Xiaomi is one of the brands offering the best equipment at the most attractive prices, so there is competition on the way.
OnePlus television is scheduled for September 26th. Information so far indicates at least two distinct models: a mid-range and a more premium offering, possibly with 4K resolution and all the extras.
