Xiaomi reveals 80W wireless charging that will surprise anyone (video)

Loading speed remains one of the biggest wars fueling the mobile industry. And if wired Xiaomi has already managed to reach an impressive 120W with the Mi 10 Ultra, now it has revealed its wireless charging of 80W.

As you can see in the short video below, this is a load with numbers that will impress anyone. In just eight minutes, the device reaches 50 percent of a 4000mAh battery, reaching 100 percent in a mere 19 minutes.

The smartphone used in this test is a modified Mi 10 Pro. Although the Mi 10 Ultra, which charges wired at 120W, already manages to reach 50W wirelessly. This makes it possible to charge your 4500mAh battery in just 40 minutes.

Xiaomi smartphone with 80W wireless charging could arrive in 2021

You should keep in mind that, for now, Xiaomi just wanted to show what it can do. The manufacturer does not have a product ready with this technology, but knowing the aspirations of the manufacturer, we will not have to wait long.

It is interesting to see the struggle of Chinese manufacturers for loading speed. This at a time when Apple introduced the MagSafe, which “only” charges the new iPhone 12 now launched wirelessly at 15W.

The next year promises to be the stage for charging speeds never reached before on smartphones. And Xiaomi seems to want to take the lead in this regard, but hopefully it will not fail to ensure the durability of these batteries.
