The Redmi K20 is officially the first high-end name of Xiaomi's subsidiary. Not yet officially released, a new image shared by Redmi India guarantees that the smartphone will be launched outside China. In this, one throws to OnePlus that once launched the first ‘flagship killer’.
In the picture, Redmi India congratulates (ironic) OnePlus on its new high end. In clear reference to the brand's price increase, Redmi takes the K20 as the 'Flagship Killer 2.0'. For those who don't know, this appellation is for devices that offer high end features for a mid range price.
OnePlus One was the first 'flagship killer' – it cost 269 euros
The first time we saw this term used was in 2014, when OnePlus One was launched. At the moment, it had its own characteristics of a high-end, with a price that started at 269 euros in UK.
In the picture it is also possible to confirm that the Redmi K20 will arrive with the Snapdragon 855. This is the processor that equips most of today's top end, and will shoot the K20 into the first league in terms of performance.
An official release date is yet to be confirmed. Given that the name is confirmed, and the brand begins to intensify the hype around the device, we should not have to wait many days until a date has been confirmed.
Like the OnePlus 7 Pro, the Redmi K20 will have a pop-up front camera.
According to the leaks, the Redmi K20 will hit the market with a 6.39 inch AMOLED display with built-in biometric sensor. Without notch or hole in the screen, the 20MP front camera will be in the device with pop-up mechanism.
At the rear, the information points to three cameras, the main sensor being 48MP. In addition, the smartphone should be supported by an 8 MP wide angle and a 16MP telephoto. Apparently, it will have a 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging.
