If you have a Xiaomi Pocophone F1 or a Mi Mix 3 let me tell you you have made a great purchase. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 can be purchased for around 265 € and is one of the best value for money devices.
Already the Mi Mix 3 is for sale for 469 € here and remains a purchase to consider given the technology that the device offers.
However, there is something missing. Both one and the other. Smartphones do not offer 4K Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) stabilization. To have such functionality you will need to record videos in FullHD.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 and Mi Mix 3 can now record in 4K with EIS
However, people at XDA have found a way to make them even more appealing. The only drawback is that you have to root the smartphone.
So if you have a Xiaomi, changing ROM and rooting the device shouldn't be a 7-headed bug for you. However, If you have no experience in this process, I advise you to research well before starting the process. You don't want to have a paperweight in your pocket.
So if you already have Root on Xiaomi Pocophone F1 and Mi Mix 3 you just have to follow the steps indicated by XDA.
- Make Sure Your POCO F1 Is Rooted
- Install Magisk with this guide
- Download the Magisk module ZIP (look up the device code name "beryllium") from this link and enable it
- Grant user access permission by accessing Settings & gt; Applications & gt; Advanced & gt; Special application access & gt; Usage access & gt; Camera and set to "Allow"
As soon as you restart your smartphone, Xiaomi Pocophone or Mi Mix 3 will already have EIS in-camera in 4K recording. Simple and effective.
In conclusion, don't try to do something you don't know. Confirm that you know what you are doing before proceeding with these modifications.
