Xiaomi officially launches first screen toothbrush

In partnership with Oclean, Xiaomi has launched the smart Oclean X toothbrush. The big difference of this model is its oval screen, where users can access the time, temperature or choose the brushing modes. It will sell for 299 yuan (38 euros).

Oclean X is a product for those who want to have dental hygiene data at a touch. Brushing your teeth will be something more scientific, but on the other hand the user will do it more simply and effectively.

Oclean X Specifications:

  • Frequency up to 40000rpm
  • Supports 32 intensity levels
  • 8 brushing zone detection
  • Color touchscreen
  • Direct on-screen feedback
  • Over 20 customizable brushing plans
  • Battery with 20 days of autonomy. Charges in 2 ½ hours
  • Works in conjunction with Oclean Brushing App
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Smartphone compatibility above Android 4.4 and iOS 8.0
  • 6 axis gyroscope to collect brushing data
  • Price: 299 iaunes (38 euros)

The brush works in partnership with the Oclean smartphone app, but dismisses the smartphone when it comes to showing you information. Your brushing patterns can be found directly on the screen. To attest to its accuracy, the brush has a six-axis gyroscope, collecting 1500 brushing data per minute.

In practice, these axes can monitor small changes in brushing gestures. They can locate the blind spots, and give you the feedback you need to make your brushing more effective.

The stand for carrying the brush can be placed normally or on the wall. The idea is that it is always at hand and fully charged.

The starting price of the brush on the Youpin crowdfunding platform is RMB 249 (32 euros), but it will be sold later for RMB 299 (38 euros).

If you do not want to wait for this brush to reach the usual stores, Mi Electric Toothbrush is 38 € and is the current solution of Xiaomi in this segment.
