Xiaomi: MIUI 12 has two design changes explained in video

Xiaomi continues to work to improve MIUI 12 (its mask that runs on top of Android). And the most recent discovery reveals two new features that should soon arrive on the equipment that supports this version.

Among the novelties is a redesigned on / off menu, as well as a new volume panel. As you can see in the video below, the new on / off menu will “steal” inspiration from Realme UI.

We see the animation sliding in the center of the screen, with the button in the middle. Moving it up turns off, and moving it down will restart the equipment.

As soon as you move the button to turn off, it turns red, and green if you move to restart. It is also notable that immediately the background of the screen goes dark.

The expanded volume panel, on the other hand, appears here with the same sliding animations, and the volume of the ringtones, notifications or alarms can be controlled. Below is the option to silence or “not disturb”.

MIUI 12 came to several devices, but not all of them run Android 11. It is worth mentioning that the on / off menu will be exclusive to these, and the volume panel does not have this type of restriction. XDA-Developers reports that the Xiaomi.eu team works to end any type of restriction.

These are small changes that are intended to simplify the lives of those who use MIUI 12. As usual, only after being properly tested will they be available to all users in a future update. As you can read in our article, it is safe to upgrade to MIUI 12 in UK.
