The Xiaomi Mi6 has been one of the most talked about themes in recent weeks, along with the Samsung Galaxy S8. We already know that the new flagship of the Chinese giant will be, for another year, a terminal that will give those who buy it very interesting features, capable of making the device one of the best in the market, while its price will certainly be enticing.
As well as we know this will be one of the first terminals to come with Qualcomm's new flagship processor, the octa-core Snapdragon 835, which we saw at Mobile World Congress 2017 equipping the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, as well as will be the processor, in some markets, that will shine the Galaxy S8, we also know today one more feature that will make you even more convinced.

A new image comes up today where we are revealed the support for the Xiaomi Mi6 SIM card. And why is this relevant? Well, in the image, we can see this support above the support corresponding to last year's Xiaomi Mi5, and its structure shows us that the new flagship Xiaomi may in fact be water resistant.
Looking carefully, we can notice that, due to its thickness and construction, much more "muscular" than the Mi5 support, we may be facing an entrance that will protect the device against water and dust. Thus, it is not difficult to predict that the Xiaomi Mi6 may even arrive with the IP67 certificate, being water and dust resistant.
However, there is another feature that may be at risk here. According to some rumors, this could be confirmation that the Xiaomi Mi6 could be the next terminal to join the new trend of reaching the market without a 3.5mm audio input, as we have seen with iPhone 7 or HTC U Ultra.
As for the specifications of the new terminal from China, there is still little to reveal. Much has been said that accompanying Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 may be 4 or 6GB of RAM, in different versions, as well as three other versions of 32, 64 and 128GB of internal memory. Regarding the cameras, the indecision regarding a double rear photographic sensor still hovers among the various rumors, and this system can only come in a possible Plus version, as we have already seen in the Xiaomi Mi5s and Mi5S Plus, the first being analyzed by Filipe Alves in the video you can see below.
Good decision from Xiaomi? Making a device resistant to water and dust is becoming more and more common in the market, and is no longer just a feature within range of devices priced above € 600 (see for example the Samsung Galaxy A line for 2017) and makes Even more attractive is a top device, especially considering that it should arrive at very competitive prices.
