Xiaomi remains committed to expanding and strengthening its wearable portfolio, going beyond the legendary Mi Band. After having recently launched the Mi Watch Color Sports Edition, the manufacturer is already preparing the presentation of the new Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, which will arrive aimed at a very different target audience.
After several rumors have circulated about the new smartwatch, we have now received confirmation of its certification from the FCC, confirming the desired global launch. In addition, the certification also confirms some of its features, characteristics and design.
Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite may arrive to rival the offers of now rival Amazfit
Now that everything indicates that the long-standing partnership between Xiaomi and Amazfit has ended, Xiaomi seems to be determined to start launching rival wearables in order to gain a larger market share. This suspicion becomes even stronger when we see the new Mi Watch Lite present itself with a square design and with lines extremely similar to the Amazfit Bip.
There is still no information on a possible selling price, but Xiaomi is guaranteed to do everything in its power to beat the competitive prices practiced by Amazfit. If this “attack” is confirmed, it is expected that in the near future they will launch a new smartwatch designed to compete with the new Amazfit GTS 2.
Details confirmed by FCC certification
In addition to the image that shows us the design of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, the FCC certification also released an image of the back of its case, revealing several details about its specifications and features.
- 1.41 “inch HD color display
- 230mAh battery
- Integrated GPS
- Water resistance up to 50 meters deep (support for swimming mode)
- Support for monitoring multiple sports
- Automatic brightness management
- Heart rate monitoring 24h
Unfortunately, we do not yet have information on a possible launch date and price for European markets. However, considering your FCC certification, it shouldn’t be long before that happens.
