Xiaomi decided to take a step forward in its line of boxes with Android TV, and has now launched the Mi Box 4S Pro. It is the first model of the brand with the ability to play content with 8K resolution and comes with a very competitive price.
The new Mi Box 4S Pro was presented in China for 399 yuan. This translates into 51 euros, making us believe that in a future global launch it can reach a price that is also interesting.
The design remains in relation to the previous generation, and follows the white tone of the recently launched Mi Box 4S. And besides the capacity for 8K, it comes with support for HDMI 2.1.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Pro arrive with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage
With regard to RAM, it was announced that it will have 2GB. In storage, Xiaomi finally raises the ante to 16GB. No further specifications were mentioned, so the existence of an Ethernet port may be disregarded.
In China, this new box will have MIUI for TV. For now there is no official confirmation of when it will be presented globally, but it will be obvious to say that it will have Android TV in this global version.
Pre-sales in China start on November 5th. For now 8K Smart TVs are still in short supply, but Xiaomi has already wanted to take precautions and launch a product that seems to be future-proof in this regard.
