Mi Band 4 was launched two months ago, but Xiaomi and Huami are already working on their successor. In a Q&A session, Huami's founder and leader was asked if he would continue to cooperate with Xiaomi in the future, and was assured that this partnership is still alive.
“We are already developing Mi Band 5 with Xiaomi,” said Wang Huang. Although no concrete release date has been mentioned, it has been revealed that it will hit the market sometime in 2020.
Mi Band 5 will be released next year
“We don't have a set date for the release of Mi Band 5. But I can say that we have already started working on it with Xiaomi (…) and over the next year we will launch Mi Band 5.”, assured the leader of Huami.
Not surprisingly, we know that Huami and Xiaomi will continue the successful partnership. At a fairly early stage, no details of possible specifications of the smart bracelet were obviously revealed.
The Mi Band 4 is on the market, and in the first 8 days alone reached the milestone of 1 million units sold. With a price of around 30 euros, it has on its color screen, music controls and the possibility of activating the monitoring of your sports activities directly on the bracelet as great attractions.
What is expected of your successor is that you can add value while maintaining the price range that makes you a real success for what you offer. Development has begun, and the coming months will bring news.
