Xiaomi Mi 9 is as sturdy as it is beautiful!

The Xiaomi Mi 9 is Xiaomi's latest smartphone and if you follow EBox you know the smartphone is formidable. The new smartphone gives us state-of-the-art specifications, a sleek design, an on-screen biometric sensor and a price that can't be resisted.

However, Xiaomi doesn't always promise when it comes to smartphone endurance. Although the latest high-end models have proven to be sturdy, I remember what happened with the Xiaomi Mi 5 or more recently with the Redmi Note 7. Smartphones that couldn't stand the JerryRigsEverything endurance test.

Therefore, it is Xiaomi Mi 9's turn to be seen. The smartphone had a laudable performance in passing every possible and imagined point.

Xiaomi Mi 9 Passes Endurance Test with Distinction

However, there is a point to note. Xiaomi says its rear camera is protected with sapphire glass. Well, sapphire is a crystal and quite expensive by the way. What Xiaomi did was integrate the sapphire with the glass. That is, it has more scratch resistance than glass but is not as resistant as sapphire. So does Apple with the iPhone.

Xiaomi Mi 9

Honestly this is a plus point. Although not truly sapphire, here has a good junction that gives us more protection. Still we don't see the price of the smartphone going up for it.

The on-screen biometric sensor surprises you by unlocking it with the scratched glass. In short, you will not worry as much as the Samsung Galaxy S10 with the risks. However, the technology is not as fast or safe as Samsung's ultrasonic sensor.

All in all, the Xiaomi Mi 9 excels at the saving throw and surprises. Glad to see smartphones with this possibilities at a price well below the competition.
