Xiaomi’s new flagships were instant success as you would expect, especially after its impressive photographic capabilities were confirmed. I recall that currently, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro occupies the first position in the ranking of DxOMark.

Now, Xiaomi President Lei Jun has started yet another wave of rumors, indicating the possibility of launching a special edition of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro with a transparent back cover. This type of design has become extremely popular since it was implemented in Mi 8 Explorer Edition.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Explorer

Xiaomi can finally bet on a true transparent design!

Despite having a transparent back cover, for aesthetic reasons the Mi 8 Explorer ended up not allowing the user to see the smartphone’s hardware, arriving with a “sticker” that presented its hardware in a more beautiful way. Users ended up not reacting very well to this brand decision, demonstrating that they really wanted to see the smartphone’s hardware.

Through a publication on the Chinese social network Weibo, Lei Jun presented several photos of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro where a wallpaper of a photo taken at the back of the smartphone without its cover. In the description, he even makes reference to the “transparent version” of the Mi 10.

Contrary to what the manufacturer decided with its first edition of a “transparent” smartphone, there is no doubt that a rear panel that shows the true interior of the smartphone would have much more impact. Still, it is difficult to say for now whether this edition will really come true, or if it was just a “joke” by the President of Xiaomi.
