Xiaomi presented its new flagship smartphones this morning in China – the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. The expectation around these terminals was quite high, and the first tests seem to be showing impressive results in the photographic sector.
At the same time of the presentation, DxOMark launched its analysis to the cameras of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, becoming this the new leader of this ranking, establishing a new maximum of 124 points.
The 110 zoom points were preponderant for this note
In the test summary, the smartphone achieved a score of 104 points on video, and 134 points on photography. This score is largely due to the impressive 110 points in the zoom assessment.
DxoMark adds that “in general, the results of the images are very similar to those of the CC9 Pro Premium Edition” (Xiaomi Mi Note 10 in Europe). But thanks to the processing power of the Snapdragon 865, in rendering textures, performance at night and corner textures, the Mi 10 Pro proves to be excellent for both photography and video.
The strong points seem to be the good details in the textures, stable exposure, white balance and good details in the middle and long zoom range. The details in good light conditions of the wide-angle lens also seem to have quite pleased.
Unit tests are pre-production. Test will be repeated in the future
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has a main camera of 108MP, two telephoto cameras of 12 and 8MP and a wide angle of 20MP. DxOMark warns that the unit tested is pre-production, and the test will be repeated with a commercial unit.
DxOMark’s rankings serve only as a gauge, and have a defined standard. It will always remain for the user to use this ranking as just another way to evaluate a camera when making a purchase.
