Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, a new generation mid-range with an impeccable build, good sound and a superlative battery

In today’s review we talk about the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, a mobile with a Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB of RAM and a 48MP main camera.

Design and display

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G rides a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution (1080x2400p) and a pixel density of 401ppi. At the level of design and construction, the truth is that it draws a lot of attention, thanks to its all-screen front with central notch and a rear with a very elegant glass and aluminum finish, with a quadruple camera module that makes the sensation generally quite premium.

The device has dimensions of 74.8 x 163.7 x 7.9 mm, a weight of 192 grams and is available in black, white and blue colors. In short, a relatively large and thin mobile that, without being too heavy, is noticeable when we carry it in our pocket.

Power and performance

If we go into the guts of this Mi 10 Lite we will discover a Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 765G Octa Core clocked at 2.4GHz, Adreno 620 GPU, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage (not expandable). All this under the umbrella of Android 10 with MIUI 11 customization layer.

At the performance level, this translates into a considerable power terminal, with an Antutu score of more than 330,000 points. A capacity that will allow us to play heavy games and run demanding applications without too many complications.

Camera and battery

In the photographic section it presents a quadruple rear camera with a 48MP main lens with f / 1.79 aperture and a pixel size of 0.80µm. This lens is accompanied by an 8MP wide angle, a 2MP depth lens, and a 5MP macro. The selfie area, for its part, is run by a 16MP camera with f / 2.5 aperture and 1.00µm. It allows recording in Slow Motion (960fps), 4K videos and Dual LED flash. In short, a remarkable camera that without being outstanding if it defends itself very well within what we can consider the current mid-range.

Autonomy is another of the greatest achievements of this Xiaomi. The battery has an amperage of 4160mAh, a quite interesting figure, but the good thing is that the manufacturer has known how to “squeeze” it to get the maximum possible juice, achieving up to 10 hours of screen and 2 full days of use. Xiaomi has always been very good with its batteries and that is something that shows.

The terminal has a Dual SIM slot (nano + nano), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi MiMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and infrared sensor. Nor can we forget about the 5G connectivity available thanks to the integrated Snapdragon X52 modem chip. It is true that 5G is not yet widespread, but if we are thinking of renewing a terminal with a view to the future, it can be a detail to take into account.

We cannot finish this review of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G without mentioning its sound, one of the sections in which this device also comes out very well. Of course, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and although it only has a speaker in the low area, the volume is good, with enough power to sound above 90 decibels and more than acceptable bass.

Price and availability

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G is currently available on AliExpress for an approximate price of 245.20 euros.

In short, one of the best-designed affordable mid-range smartphones of this year, with hardware ready to embrace the arrival of 5G, good performance, a battery that gives it everything, NFC connection and sound that will please lovers of good music. Xiaomi has several models within the Redmi and POCO series that move in reasonable price ranges, but this Mi 10 Lite 5G remains one of the most attractive bets in its catalog to date.
