WhatsApp prepares 3 news in future update. Know the details

The launch of new features on WhatsApp is always very well calculated and tested by Facebook. And now more screen options are being tested, the ability to “read later” or the ability to mute videos.

These new features were “picked up” by WABetaInfo, and describe what was made available in a recent beta version (of tests).

More wallpaper options

  • The user will be able to set new screens for each conversation individually
  • It will be possible to choose between 32 new light or 29 dark backgrounds
  • It will be possible to edit its opacity
  • A custom wallpaper can be set

Mute videos

In practice, whenever you want to send a video in a conversation, it is possible to silence it with a simple touch.

Possibility to “read later”

This is a feature very similar to one already discovered in the past. You want to keep archived conversations separate from the main conversations screen. You do not receive notifications of these, and at any time you can move them back to the main menu.

It is worth mentioning that these features are being tested in the Android and iOS versions of WhatsApp. It is not known when they will reach all users, but we will be aware of that.
