Warzone at 120 FPS?
That’s the surprise some users got when playing Warzone on their new Xbox Series S. The game seemed to run much smoother, until they realized that it was displaying 120 frames per second. The funny thing about the matter is that the official notes of the latest game update do not show or indicate anything related to the graphical improvement, however, you just have to go through the Microsoft Store, to confirm the facts.
In the Warzone tab, we can see how within the tab “Featured elements”, in the Technical functionalities section, the 120 FPS function has been included, so effectively the game officially offers the 120 images per second mode. Digital Foundry has been able to verify that indeed the game runs at 120 images per second, while on PS5 it does not go above 60 images per second.
What about PlayStation 5?
The funny thing is that, taking into account the launch exclusives that they offer today, PlayStation for the moment has run out of the 120 FPS mode, since Xbox Series X is the only console that offers it at the moment. Therefore, Microsoft has scored a good goal in the 120 FPS race with one of the great games on the market, showing that the potential of its console is one of the great assets of its list of specifications.
Can we play Warzone at 120 FPS on PS5?
Most likely yes, but it is very suspicious that at the moment only Xbox Series X is the only one that is capable of offering it. In short, others like Rocket League, Destiny 2, Halo: The Master Chief Collection Y Rainbow six siege, among others, will also allow you to enjoy 120 FPS on Xbox Series X, so the offer is quite interesting.
What do I need to play at 120 FPS?
It seems that Warzone It works perfectly at 4K at 120 FPS, but if you play on a monitor, you will have to take into account some aspects such as that the maximum resolution will be 1440p, since today there is no 4K monitor with an HDMI 2.1 connection that allows you to enjoy a refresh rate of 120 images per second at that resolution.
