Over the last few weeks, we have been getting more and more details about the new Vivo NEX 3. This new high-end promises to innovate once again in terms of design, featuring a 'waterfall screen' that promises to deliver over 100% of what regards the screen / body ratio.
One of the company's top executives, Li Xiang, has revealed several details about the NEX 3, having published today the first real smartphone photograph. By now, Xiang had already confirmed support for 4G / 5G and NFC.
A screen with a design as beautiful as (probably) fragile
The image published on the Chinese social network Weibo arrived with a sentence by Anthony Gaudi. Li Xiang decided to quote Gaudi, saying that "the line belongs to humans and the curve belongs to God". In this way, it clearly intended to give maximum emphasis to the curves of the Vivo NEX 3, as well as its advanced capabilities, being a high-end smartphone.
It was not long before the official Vivo NEX account forwarded this publication, adding "also belongs to NEX", referring to curvature.
This extreme screen curvature could be the biggest selling point of the Vivo NEX 3, as well as its weakest point. With such a screen, it is very unlikely that screen protectors / covers will be able to efficiently protect the OLED panel. It has been proven on several occasions that edge screens have a greater tendency to shatter, and this should be no exception.
What we know about Vivo NEX 3 so far
While much of the information that has been circulated so far has not yet been confirmed, it gives us a good idea of what it may have to offer. Therefore, we have an AMOLED screen with integrated fingerprint reader.
Controlling the center of operations will be the inevitable Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, backed by up to 12GB of RAM.
In the photographic segment it will have a triple rear camera, consisting of a main 12MP sensor, night vision camera (2MP) and a ToF sensor. Not yet confirmed, it may come equipped with a pop-up camera dedicated to selfies.
Certainly over the coming weeks new information about the Vivo NEX 3 will continue to arrive.
