United States and China may be close to reaching agreement

According to a tweet from President Donald Trump, the United States and China may be pretty close to finally reaching an agreement. Both nations have been in conflict in a trade war over export and import taxes.

Getting VERY close to a BIG DEAL with China. They want it, and so do we!

– Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 12, 2019

Currently, US export taxes on China have affected about $ 150 billion in products. If they agree, the rates will be lowered on both sides so that Chinese products can be more easily traded on US territory and vice versa.

It will be favorable if this agreement is closed before December 15th, as this date marks the beginning of implementation of additional fees. These will affect all kinds of technologies from China, from consoles, mobile phones, monitors and even apparel. In China, tariffs will affect US products like cars and auto parts.

The next two days will then be decisive for the United States or China to officially comment on the issue. Donald Trump is likely to post to Twitter soon, due to his history on the social network.

Such an agreement could "save" Huawei

Needless to say, the company that can most benefit from this deal is Huawei. The company was banned from benefiting from US technology, such as Google's services, thanks to the US ban.

The truth is that Huawei was not banned exactly by the trade war but by suspected espionage. In any case, an agreement between the United States and China will surely alleviate the situation for all parties involved.
