Uber made official this Tuesday the arrival of its travel service to another city: Évora. The Alentejo district capital now has its second Uber service, since it has had Uber Eats (home delivery service) since July last year.
Uber reveals that since its arrival in UK, in July 2014, the app has more than 2.8 million downloads. To date, the application already provides travel to over 65% of the UK’s population.
“We have many users who try to use the Uber app in Évora to travel. Starting today, we will make our service available to people who visit and live in this city, reinforcing our commitment to UK. ”, Says the general director of Uber in UK, Manuel Pina.
In Évora, Uber promises to offer its cheapest travel option, uberX. This arrives with the objective of providing a “simple, safe and convenient” mobility option in Évora.
To be aware of Uber’s bet in UK, the company has a higher incidence in our country than in any other country in southern Europe. In addition to Évora, the service is already available in the metropolitan area of Lisbon and Porto, Algarve, Braga, Guimarães, Coimbra, Aveiro and Madeira.
Uber is already present in 673 of more than 80 countries worldwide. Their home meal delivery service (Uber Eats) is also increasingly popular in major cities.
