Despite not being in the spotlight so often, Twitter remains one of the most popular social networks, maintaining very stable growth throughout its long years of existence. In order for users to remain enthusiastic about the platform, it is important that new features continue to be implemented recently.
However, much to the dismay of many Android users, these new features most often reach the iOS application much earlier. The new tweet sharing menu is the latest example, having been available for iOS in early August. Now, more than 2 months have passed, Twitter has confirmed that the new implementation is finally being tested in the Android version.
Sharing tweets on Android smartphones will be easier and much more versatile
Using their original publication of the iOS feature launch, the Twitter developer team revealed that their “friends on Android” have already started receiving the new feature, which is now in the testing phase. Even though the official announcement has already been made, it is not expected that the novelty will be made available to all users immediately.
I remember that in the case of iOS, it took more than 1 month until they passed the testing phase, for a global availability. Since you have already gone through this process in the iOS application, hopefully in the case of Android the process can be a little faster. Anyway, the new sharing menu will be available to everyone until the end of the year, this should be guaranteed.
This menu arrives with the objective of facilitating and speeding up the sharing of content from the Twitter platform, whether in re-sharing within the App, or for other applications external to Twitter.
Through a new pop-up menu, users will have at their disposal a list of their most frequent contacts on Twitter, sending the tweet via direct message, link, WhatsApp, or any other application that you have installed on your smartphone.
