Some time ago I decided to invest in an intelligent lamp from IKEA. The lamp line of the TRÅDFRI line was being well spoken and, since it only cost € 10, I didn’t see many reasons for not investing.
This is a smart lamp. In other words, you can connect to the Google or Alexa assistant and even bring (included in the price) a wireless switch. That is, you can walk with him in the room. To be more concrete, you will never have to get up from the couch again to turn off the light and start the cinema session.
TRÅDFRI is a quality lamp with dimming
This is also a lamp that you can adjust with the wireless switch. That is, you can reduce or increase the brightness simply by pressing the switch for longer.
Know more about the lamp here
The luminosity is good and although it does not offer colors, here you have a simple lamp for rooms that will not make a difference having other shades. The smart lamp has a brightness identical to a 40W lamp with 806 lumens.
The lamp is smart but you need to buy the hub
Unfortunately the lamp is not smart in itself. That is, it works with the wireless switch without any problem as soon as the box strips.
However, if you want to connect to Google Home or Alexa you will have to buy the TRÅDFRI Gateway (29 €). This small hub connects directly to your operator’s router and the configuration with the lamps is super simple. You just have to follow the steps of the IKEA Home application on your smartphone.
This is an investment that you only have to make once. This is because the Gateway will work for a huge number of lamps. The integration with Google Home (in my case) is super simple. One click on the IKEA Home application and another click on the Google Home application.
A lamp that is really worth buying
If you are thinking about making your home smarter, this is a lamp to consider. In addition, you have the wireless switch that lets you control the light anywhere in the house. Even without connecting to the Google assistant.
I would like to say that this article was made in partnership with IKEA, even because it helped the maintenance costs of EBox, unfortunately that is not the case. This is an opinion of a person who bought the lamp at random and simply loved it.
