For those who are fans of performance on a smartphone (or computer) there is one thing that cannot fail in their checks. I speak of benchmarks. The AnTuTu benchmark is one of the main platforms to know the power in a mobile phone and, although it does not fail much, its score describes how the brand has prepared itself so that the equipment can be a world power.
The new ZTE Nubia Red Magic 5G is the latest king of AnTuTu with a fantastic and impressive score of 633 thousand points. With this score the new smartphone from ZTE passes to the iQOO 3 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro.
A score well above smartphones on the market right now
We are still waiting for the new batch of smartphones to arrive on schedule. Equipment with the Samsung Galaxy S20, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro or even the new Realme, promise to make a difference in performance.
However, we have to look at what we have right now. And if we compare this ZTE Nubia Red Magic to the list of the most powerful AnTuTu of January 2020, we can see its evolution perfectly.
Top 10: AnTuTu’s most powerful smartphones in January 2020
|ASUS ROG Phone 2||507,051|
|realme X2 Pro||483,651|
|OnePlus 7 Pro||472,684|
|Samsung Note10 +||467,180|
|Redmi K20 Pro Premium||462,955|
|Samsung Note10 + (9825)||454,500|
|Xiaomi Mi 9||447,988|
AnTuTu Benchmark cannot be the only benchmark
We have to keep in mind that, however important, performance on a smartphone is not everything. I’m not going to talk about cameras, screens or technology. Yes, I will approach software.
The smartphone can do very well in benchmarks, but if your software is not minimally prepared for the user, its use will be a nightmare.
ZTE has been improving the software on its smartphones, which was significantly inferior to the competition, an example of this is our review of the Nubia Red Magic 3S that was rated 8/10 at the software level.
