The next big MCU series
Once we say goodbye to Scarlet Witch and Vision -You know that no matter how painful it may be, the time will come- we will have at least the consolation of a new series on Disney + that will continue within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We refer, of course, to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Falcon and the Winter Soldier in English), which will arrive from March 19 to tell us what happened to these two characters after the events that occurred in Avengers: Endgame.
As we saw in the preview, we will see how the life of these two avengers is and the relationship they have between them, not especially good, at least at the beginning of the season as we have seen in the images. In them we have also been able to see some of the villains who will play a leading role in this new fiction, where the appearance of Baron Zemo.
And we do not say it only because of his importance as a character: it turns out that he stars in a scene that has changed compared to the first video trailer we saw in December. Why this modification?
The Sokovia statue is not shown the same
The people of Direct has been commissioned to echo the clever view of a user of Reddit. “Manbeer0071995”, which is his name, indicated in this forum that there was a scene in the new trailer which was not exactly the same as the one shown in the first trailer provided by Disney.
It is about the moment when Baron Zemo visits a statue in Sokovia (which could be in memory of those who died during the attack on Ultron in the country). In the December preview, the stone tribute is displayed with many flowers and other details surely left by citizens to pay tribute to the victims – minute 0:41. In the second, however, the area seems more urbanized (first there was dirt and now cobblestones) and there are no objects on the ground – minute 0:32. Even the statue looks sharper and more detailed.
The sequence is the same, so clearly Disney and Marvel have modified it by CGI and we imagine that it will be the one that we will finally see in the series when this moment occurs.
What is not known is exactly why is this modification. It could simply be a visual effects upgrade by the team that was already planned but not included in the first trailer or perhaps, as Direct indicates, this is a decision by Marvel Studios to portray Sokovia as a more established state that has managed to rebuild itself in the years after the Battle of Ultron.
It should not be, a priori, something determining in the plot of this new series, but the change of scenery is still curious. And you, have you noticed the differences?
