China is a market that interests all companies. However, playing at home from Xiaomi and Huawei, for example, are giants like Apple, Samsung and, in other departments, Google and Microsoft, which see big barriers in conquering that market.
Why is China special? Well, it is a country that holds about 18% of the world's population. That is, if Apple manages, for example, to hold 1/5 of the smartphone market, and assuming that everyone in this country has access to a smartphone for personal use – which is not true – then the technology giant Cupertino would have about 280 million iPhones in circulation in China.

Even if that number is halved – not all inhabitants of this nation have a smartphone – then the figure drops to 140 million units. That is, it would be necessary that each UK’s had 14 iPhones to reach such numbers. Little thing therefore.
Huawei, Xiaomi and not only. All have Apple iPhone company in their homeland!
Well, but who are the great leaders in China anyway? According to a Counterpoint statistical report, in 2017 there were only five smartphone brands that were able to occupy the top ten places in terms of market share of smartphone templates.
These are: Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, Honor and … Apple. Now, as it should be, Xiaomi – already very present in Europe and the South American continent is, of course, a pillar in China. On the other hand, Oppo – very similar to OnePlus – like Vivo, focus more on its home market and hence the numbers obtained.
On the other hand, Huawei, through Honor, got two places in the 2017 TOP10. Alongside this one, the foreign Apple also got them two. What is most striking, however, is that the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus – the only ones to enter the so-called TOP – rank fifth and second, respectively.
That is, the strength of the American company is even unstoppable. Even in a country where competition is as fierce as you might think, and where iPhone is likely to be far more expensive than other retail outlets, Tim Cook and the company are able to infiltrate and constantly be in the pocket of many users.
Already Samsung, as well as many other brands, such as Nokia, can not have such a relevant expression in a country so crucial to the development of the smartphone market.
Anyway, we'll see what the same data will look like by the end of 2018. Interest should not be missing. Will iPhone X be part of the ten pioneers?
