The Witcher: Book and game continue to grow in popularity thanks to the series

The end of 2019 was marked by The Witcher series, starring Henry Cavill and inspired by existing books and games. The series is enjoying immense success on Netflix and consequently also the other versions of this fantasy intellectual property.

Highlighted is the book, by author Andrzej Sapkowski, which is getting astronomical recognition thanks to the series. The book is currently topping the bestselling works on Amazon, surpassing even the author J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter saga.

Next up is the game, The Witcher 3, originally released in 2015 by CD Projekt RED. The game itself already has great merits as one of the best action, RPG and adventure games ever. However, after the release of the series, the game is on the rise at Steam.

The game has registered in the last days about 85 thousand active players. In perspective, only at the time of its release did The Witcher 3 achieve such numbers with 92,000 active players. In this way, the game is rapidly reaching the top of the popularity on Steam.

Netflix could renew The Witcher for a third season
