Sony, via Twitter, announced that the upcoming The Last of Part 2 has been postponed again. This is one of the most awaited sequels by the player community, after the success of the first game. The game had a release date set for May 29.

Update: SIE made the difficult decision to postpone the release of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man VR indefinitely. Logistically, the global crisis that we are experiencing prevents us from guaranteeing the launch experience that our players deserve. https://t.co/PscrgjuLp8

In the Twitter post, Sony says it has no prediction of when the game will be released. Additionally, the virtual reality game Marvel’s Iron Man VR also suffered the same fate. Until this global crisis in COVID-19 stabilizes, new game releases will be affected.

After all, The Last of Us Part 2 was already having its development affected by the pandemic. The game had already had its release delayed once but until now it seems that we could count on its timely release, but not.

Naughty Dog detailed the situation a little more

Of course, the game’s studio Naughty Dog also informed fans on Twitter. The studio claims that despite the release delay, the game is practically ready, with just a few bugs to fix. Therefore, we can only wait.
