The company Teslasuit (not related to the vehicle manufacturer) presented last year a suit for virtual reality of the same name. Teslasuit is a full body suit that produces tactile feedback to simulate the most realistic gaming experience possible. See the video.
As you can see, it produces small localized “shocks” or “impacts” depending on the context of the game or virtual reality simulation. In the video, we can see the journalist interacting with a wind simulation, where she indicates that she can feel the wind force simulated by the fact.
In addition to games and entertainment, this can have various applications such as flight simulations, pilots and astronauts training or even medical purposes.
Teslasuit will complete the suit with a glove
To complete the experience of the fact, Teslasuit recently announced that it will launch a glove titled Teslasuit Glove. It will be demonstrated at CES 2020, the world’s largest consumer technology fair.
The glove will have tactile feedback for each finger, allowing you to simulate sensations of touch and texture, so you can feel everything as real as possible within the virtual reality simulation. The glove will also produce vibration and resistance effects from elements such as the fan shown above.
The Teslasuit Glove will also come with motion capture functions, knowing the position of the user’s wrist, fingers and their joints. Additionally, the glove will detect the wearer’s heart rate and emotional level.
