It all happened in an underground park in Las Vegas. A Tesla Model 3 was parked charging, and two vandals approached the car to damage the charger and the vehicle itself.

Thanks to the Sentry Mode security system, the act was captured by the car’s cameras. The video was shared by the owner on Youtube, where we see the vandals unsuccessfully trying to break the uploader, and getting scared by the security system.

“Our Model 3 warned us that someone was damaging the vehicle at 2 am in Las Vegas. I had Sentry Mode turned on and it recorded the guys trying to damage the charger, ”wrote the owner identified as Fernando C on Youtube.

The video was shared on January 10 on the platform and went truly viral, with 1.2 million views at the time of writing this article. So far, there is no evidence that the identity of the vandals has been recognized.

This Tesla security system uses autopilot cameras around the vehicle to record any action that takes place around the car.

This is not the first time this security system has come into play, and more often it could help police find suspects. It is recalled that in the past this system has helped police find vandals that caused similar problems.
