Tesla is again around problems with its cars. According to the NHTSA (US National Highway Safety Administration) some Tesla drivers are complaining about “sudden unexpected acceleration”.
The petition signed by more than 127 drivers pointed out that their cars behaved unexpectedly accelerating and causing accidents, in which 110 accidents resulted in 52 injured people.
Tesla has not yet commented on the situation
Since Tesla cars are seriously computerized, there is a possibility that some of these complaints have an edge.
However, we cannot rule out those drivers who took advantage of the “ride” of the complaint and try to find a culprit for one of their accidents. In order to fix the car and have some kind of compensation.
The inquiry was opened by NHTSA and now Tesla will have to prove that there is no problem with the cars involved in this type of situation.
In the GIF above we can see a situation where the Tesla driver complains about this problem. The car does seem to accelerate unexpectedly. We only have to know to what extent the driver pressed the pedal or not.
In short, we will have to wait for the investigation and conclude it to find out to what extent Tesla is responsible or not. Tesla’s electric cars are among the most advanced on the planet, however, they are not immune to failures that can sometimes be problematic.
