Over the past few years, Tesla has managed to deliver growth that many thought impossible, “carrying on” the implementation of electric cars around the world. So it is not surprising that the company created by Elon Musk ended up becoming the largest electric car manufacturer in the world.
Now, at a time when many other manufacturers are starting to invest in this segment, Elon Musk took the opportunity to celebrate an incredible feat, the production of his millionth car. Making this feat even more impressive, no other manufacturer has managed to reach these production numbers.
Tesla’s next big goal will be to produce 1 million cars a year!
Even though it was not made official by Elon Musk, it seems that Tesla is on track to increase its production capacity, eventually reaching 1 million cars produced annually.
During the first quarter of 2020 we saw the brand considerably increase its production levels, hoping to reach a production of 650,000 cars by the end of the year. Most likely, the eventual construction of the Giga Factory in Germany it will allow Tesla to achieve this incredible brand.
Considering the recent confirmation given by Elon Musk through his official Twitter account, everything indicates that Tesla’s current production is around 40,000 electric cars per month, which in itself is very impressive.
As far as electric car production capacity is concerned, only the Chinese manufacturer BYD was able to stand up to Tesla, but ended up being relegated to second position last year. In addition, it is important to note that BYD also manufactures hybrid cars, unlike Tesla, which only has 100% electric cars.
