Android is the operating system that offers its users more freedom. Whether you’re a casual user or a serious system explorer, Android lets you do a little bit of everything, if you know where to go. Still, its distribution is not the strongest.
So, today we ask you the question, if you have an Android smartphone: what version of the operating system are you on? Android 10 is the most recent stable version, although we already have Beta versions of Android 11, we will not count on this in this poll.

Android distribution has been improving
The truth is that Google has been improving the distribution of Android in recent years. In the past, only top-of-the-range devices and those in the Nexus range had guaranteed updates.
Android distribution by operating system version
-
Android 9 Pie – 30.4%
-
Android 10 – 25.3%
-
Android 8.1 Oreo – 11.49%
-
Android 6.0 Marshmallow – 8.1%
-
Android 8.0 Oreo – 6.78%
-
Android 7.0 Nougat – 5.7%
At this time, Android 9 Pie is the version of the operating system most present in the equipment of users around the world. Right after that we have Android 10, the latest version with 25%, a very positive number. Finally, we have the Oreo (8.1 and 8.0) and ironically the 6.0, still with 8.1%.
Android 7.0 Nougat is in last, which came after 6.0 Marshmallow. There are still some old signs of when Android fragmentation was bad and this is one of them.
