When it comes to headphones and earphones, Sony is one of the benchmarks. And its line of WH-1000XM4 headphones stands for excellence as were the WF-1000XM3 headsets in their segment.

Now it seems that this model also launched in 2019 will finally have a successor. An alleged official image of the future WF-1000XM4 was published through Reddit.

A new model of these headsets leaves anyone with great curiosity. This is because the Sony WF-1000XM3 was a product that, although not perfect, managed to combine several important features.

It brought active noise cancellation for this type of products with great quality, and managed to combine it with a satisfactory battery. One of its major flaws was the unobtrusive design, which may be fixed in this new version.

Confirming this image, the WF-1000XM4 appear to have a design closer to products like the Galaxy Buds Plus. These are currently my personal earphones, and that discreet aspect is one of its greatest qualities.

Like the previous model, here we see a color pattern that Sony does not seem to escape from. Black and gold are combined. This golden zone has a previously unknown use, but it would be interesting, for example, to have usability in touch controls.

With a reduced size, it is expected that Sony may not waver in terms of autonomy and noise canceling quality of these headsets. In another image, it is revealed that we can count on 6 hours of autonomy in the earphones, plus 18 hours in the box.

In terms of sound quality, expectations are more than high, and have everything to be the new standard in the segment. Another detail that Sony will have to add is the wireless charging in the box. If these images are confirmed, the launch will be imminent.
