In recent weeks there have been rumors that a more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be released. Potentially a Galaxy S8 Mini, this variant has been denied by the South Korean company, but rumors don't stop there. Now new details come up, possibly indicating a possible Samsung Galaxy S8 + "Lite" (or other name that identifies this version).
The news comes through one of the best known test benches, the Geekbench, with model number SM-G9650. According to it, we are facing a terminal with an SDM845 motherboard. The processor, although not specified by its name, is a Quad-Core (four-core) just like Qualcomm's flagship processor for 2016, the Snapdragon 821.

In addition, we can see that the processor comes with the same 4GB of RAM that equip the dual Galaxy S8, running this terminal still Android 7.1.2 Nougat, certainly entitled to the Samsung Experience interface.
It is curious that yet recently another Samsung model appeared in the same test bench. This would have model number SM-G9600, this could also be a more affordable version of the S8. It is still curious to compare these references with the code numbers of the Galaxy S8 and S8 +, these being the SM-950 and SM-955, respectively.
The alleged Samsung Galaxy S8 + "Lite" would bring a quad-core processor and 4GB of RAM
With regard to the results of the Geekbench, the Samsung SM-9650 has shown an acceptable score. With 1819 points in single-core testing and 4494 points in multi-core testing, it is noticeable that this device is far from the results of both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +, which raises the suspicion that it may even be a "lite" version. "
In any case, there is no confirmation from Samsung that its tops will be entitled to new variants, so we will have to wait for some pronouncement from the brand itself.
