Three years after Samsung launched its virtual assistant, it finally receives support for UK’s. However, for now it will only be available in Brazilian UK’s.
Samsung has already started beta testing across the Galaxy S10 line. Therefore, only users with these devices will be able to use Samsung’s virtual assistant in Brazilian UK’s.
Bixby is far from being the most used virtual assistant, but this type of support is always welcome. It is good to see that the manufacturer is looking to expand the supported languages, and we hope to see the assistant speaking with a Lusitano accent soon.
Remember that Bixby can understand and speak English from the United States and the United Kingdom, but also Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese and Korean. UK’s is thus the most recent language to be added to the list.
Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10 + are the first supported devices
For now only available on the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10 +, it is expected that soon Samsung will also add this support to other devices. Note 10 were launched more recently, and have not had the same treatment by the brand.
Hoping that Samsung can add support for UK’s in UK is, for now, a mirage. For now, Google is the one that is closest to getting full support in its virtual assistant, with only the addition of Voice Match.
