Every year Samsung has presented us with a new smartwatch. This kind of gadgets has been the main asset of the South Korean company for IFA, in order to fill the absence of its Galaxy Note at this fair. The next wearable brand, the Samsung Gear S4, could arrive later this year with the Tizen OS.
Samsung has never been very adept at Google software for such devices. The old Android Wear featured only on a smartwatch from South Korean giant Samsung Gear Live, launched in 2014. Apart from this model, the self-created Tizen OS has been the OS of choice for its wearables.

The bet on Tizen OS has proved to be right. Far from criticism of Google's operating system, Google has been particularly prominent in managing the autonomy of the Samsung Gear. What's more, this operating system has always been more versatile than now Wear OS by being compatible with both Android and iOS.
Not surprisingly, the first rumors concerning the brand's upcoming smartwatch begin. Admittedly, we should get to know the new Galaxy Note 9 before this one. But this is not an obstacle to start speculating about the Gear S4 right now.
According to what advances today the SamMobile, a new smartwatch is already being developed by Samsung. With the model SM-R800, it seems that this is the new Samsung Gear S4. If this is true, this will be the direct successor to the Gear S3, released in 2016. This is because Gear Sport, released in late 2017, is a mix of the two versions of the S3.
The information is scarce, something perfectly understandable given the distance we still have from our presentation. It should be stressed that this should only happen after summer or late summer. This is based on the schedule that the brand has been using in recent years.
Samsung Gear S4 smartwatch will continue to bet on Tizen OS
However, this Gear S4 is expected to come with its specifications and other enhanced functions. Your various physical, heart and sleep monitoring sensors, for example, should be sharper than ever.
As for software, it appears that Tizen OS will continue to be present in the connection between the user and wearable hardware. Betting on this OS has been a winning bet, so there is no reason for Samsung to change operating system.
It is still too early for clear information about this device to be known. It should still be in a very early stage of its development and much remains to be known.
