The official listing of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today revealed to us a new device. Unsurprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 was thus made official “by shadow” and is already listed on a German website.

Samsung's “all terrain” arrives in its fourth generation, with the same intent as its predecessors: being a sturdy terminal with mid-range specifications that are more affordable than a much higher-end device expensive as the Samsung Galaxy S7 active.
The Design of Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4
While retaining the rigidity and ruggedness that characterizes it, Samsung's new device is not as flashy as previous versions. In "muscular" surroundings, it gives the user confidence that a fall will not be as tragic as on another "normal" smartphone, thanks to the protection of a rubber film that surrounds the terminal both front and back.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 is ready for use in harsh conditions. Mud, water, earth or hand guards will not be sufficient to prevent this device from being used for the same purpose. Therefore, the new Xcover has received IP68 and MIL-STD 810G certificates of strength and durability.
Receiving the IP68 rating is already quite common in the mobile market, and the terminal can be submerged in water for half an hour up to 1.5 meters deep and resisting dust, such as the new mid-range Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 that was recently reviewed by Rui Bacelar on our Youtube channel.
Less common is, however, the MIL-STD 810G certificate. This certificate amounts to the standards US military, with products undergoing a variety of tests, from exposure to extreme temperatures, vibrations, solar radiation and a panoply of other tests that take the smartphone to extremes. Therefore, it is safe to say that this terminal is ready for the harshest conditions, a true smartphone of war.
Specifications and Price
This real armored tank comes with a Samsung Exynos 7570 processor, which will have to work to bring a 4.9-inch 720p screen to life. Aiding the processor are 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable via microSD.
The main camera of the Xcover 4 is a 13MP sensor, while the front sensor has a resolution of 5MP, both of which are quite capable, well prepared for crater volcano photos or selfies in the vicinity of a hurricane.
The battery, while having only a capacity of 2800 mAh, should be no problem in terms of durability considering the small screen and pixel density, thus completing the specification list.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 is expected to hit the European market during April with a price tag of € 259. Do you need a mid-range terminal ready for everything? This may be the ideal device for you.
