After the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 LTE (2020) is already official in the United States. The tablet went on sale at a price of 279 dollars (258 euros) and is enough to attack the mid-range market where Samsung has little company.
The device is only launched in 4G LTE version, so it is expected that soon a Wi-Fi version will be launched with a more appealing price. It arrives only in a variant with 32GB of storage and in Mocha color.
The new Tab A 8.4 is the natural successor to Tab A 8.0 released in 2019 without support for S Pen. This new model has a simpler design, and at first glance it will be substantially more powerful.

Tab A 8.4 promises to be much more powerful than its predecessor
Starting with the processor, it has the Exynos 7904 (its predecessor had the Snapdragon 429). This is a mid-range processor, featured in devices like the Galaxy A40.
Tab A 8.4 screen is now Full HD
A jump is also made on the screen. The 8.4 inch TFT screen rises from a resolution of 800p to FullHD of 1920 by 1080. The 32GB of storage is expandable via microSD up to 512GB and you can count on 3GB of basic RAM.
The equipment has a 5000mAh battery, which Samsung claims to provide for up to 12 hours of video consumption and 11 hours of internet browsing. On a tablet the camera is not the most important, but the rear sensor is 8MP and the front is 5MP.
Android Pie is the big disappointment of Tab A 8.4
You can count on Wi-Fi-ac, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0. The biggest disappointment in this equipment is the fact that it reaches the market with Android Pie (9).
For now it has not been revealed when the equipment will be launched in other markets. As usual in this line, we can expect it to arrive in UK in the coming months.
