Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + start receiving One UI 2.5

Big news from One UI 2.5 on the Galaxy S9 and S9 +:

  • Support for Samsung DeX Wireless
  • Wireless connection to TV’s via Wi-Fi Direct (Samsung Smart TV’s recommended)
  • In-camera Pro Video mode
  • Functionality Always On Display (screen always on)

Although this update has already reached users in Germany, there is no prediction of when it will be extended to everyone. Still, it should be a matter of days before it reaches all users.

If you have a Galaxy S9 or S9 + and are still happy with the equipment, you should not be discouraged by this news. Although the smartphone will no longer receive major updates, Samsung will continue to support it through security updates that can correct any errors.

As of the writing of this article, these terminals are on Android 10, and that’s where they will stay. They will not receive Android 11 (One UI 3.0), which will only be reserved for the latest tops.
