Samsung has a habit of offering two major upgrades to its high end, which puts the Galaxy S8 off the readable list for Android 10. However, to the delight of all its users, this may not be the case.
Second is advancing the publication WindowsUnited, Samsung customer support has confirmed the arrival of Android 10 to the Samsung Galaxy S8. Still, no dates were advanced for the event.
This would not be the first time someone from South Korean support would pass the wrong information on Samsung's update policies. With that in mind, we should be cautious about these statements.
Samsung Galaxy S8 has received two major system upgrades
Galaxy S8 was released in 2017 with Android 7.0 installed at the factory. In the following years, it received Android 8 and Android 9, which includes the two major updates that South Korea normally offers to its tops.
Against this backdrop, something tells us that this smartphone should no longer receive Android 10. With these statements, the hope is reborn that we will see another major update coming to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
It is important to remember that, at some point, information appeared that pointed to the arrival of Android 9 to the Galaxy S7, with two major updates. Unfortunately, this has not been confirmed, which should serve as a warning for what may be the outcome of this story.
If this scenario were to happen, the update should only arrive in the second quarter of 2020. By then we will see the Galaxy S10 / Note 10 and Galaxy S9 / Note 9 receiving Android 10-based One UI 2.0.
