Samsung recently registered a new wall adapter in South Korea with a maximum power of 65W. According to the details in the document, this charger will use the USB-C interface and will be used for smartphones.
That said, it is speculated that this new charger is being developed for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S30 or S21. This will be the first top of the range for the South Korean brand next year and should only be revealed in February.
Samsung Galaxy S30 may arrive with 65W fast charging
After the disastrous setback that Samsung faced with the Galaxy Note 7 battery, it is normal for the company to be cautious about charging speeds. However, it seems that, in 2021, the South Korean is finally prepared to follow the example of competition.
Everything indicates that next year Samsung will finally make the leap to 65W in charging speeds at its top end. This will be a considerable evolution compared to the current 45W incorporated in the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
It is worth noting that rumors of a few weeks ago said that the Samsung Galaxy S30 would arrive with 60W fast charging. Something that does not invalidate that this new adapter is intended for the next top of the range of the brand.
Still, the likelihood is low that Samsung will offer its new 65W charger in the Galaxy S30 case. After all, the Galaxy S20 Ultra also doesn’t come with the 45W charger in the box.
Additionally, there are rumors that states that Samsung may also stop offering wall adapters with its next smartphones. A maneuver that was already debuted by Apple with the launch of the Apple Watch Series 6 and that should be repeated with the iPhone 12.
