The calendar of Samsung’s top end presentations in 2020 has ended. Now, the South Korean company focuses its attention on the development of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + or whatever they will be called.
Even though it was several months before it was revealed, details about the new tops are already beginning to emerge. Thanks to the passage of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + by the Chinese entity 3C, we already know the capacity of your batteries.
Only the Samsung Galaxy S21 + will be entitled to a larger battery
The list made public by the entity 3C reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will come with a cell of 3880mAh. His brother Galaxy S21 + will arrive with a 4660mAh battery.
Please note that these should not be the final cell numbers of the company’s next tops. It is likely that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be launched with 4000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S21 + is expected to make the leap to 5000mAh.
If confirmed, this means that the Plus model will see an increase of 500mAh in its battery, when compared to the Galaxy S20 +. The base model should keep its 4000mAh.
It can also be removed from the 3C certification that the batteries for the next Samsung range will not be manufactured by the South Korean. Instead, the company will delegate to the Chinese Ningde Amperex the development of this important component.
Samsung has a tough task ahead of the Galaxy S21
The Samsung Galaxy S20 are fantastic equipment, but they were stained by the differential that exists between the versions with Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865. This is because the first ones are inferior and cost the same.
For the next year, Samsung has the difficult task of trying to eliminate this disadvantage. Unfortunately, some initial information suggests that models with Exynos will continue to be inferior to those using Qualcomm’s SoC.
If Samsung is not able to get around this inconvenience, we can look forward to another year where sales of its tops may fall short of expectations. Let us wait for the next few months to see if history will repeat itself.
