There has been talk for some time about the possible launch of a “lite” variant of Samsung’s current range tops, especially after the sales figures for the Galaxy S20 and company have fallen far short of expectations. After several rumors point to the possible arrival of a Galaxy S20e, the renowned leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) reveals the name of the new smartphone.
According to Blass’ latest Twitter post, the new smartphone will arrive under the name Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition). In addition to the name, he also published what may be the first official image of the smartphone’s front panel.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will arrive with a much more conservative design
The traditional “lite” models of the most popular high-end smartphones have become very popular over time, offering users the possibility of having many of the features of their dream smartphones, but at much more affordable prices.
In the case of the Galaxy S20 FE, it seems that its design may leave a little to be desired. When compared to the design of the base model of the Galaxy S20, we see that the front panel of the Fan Edition it will be quite different.
In addition to arriving with a flat screen, it has much more visible margins than the other models of the Galaxy S20 line. Even so, this should not be considered a deal breaker, since its more affordable price results in necessary sacrifices. In the image published by Evan Blass, it is still possible to see that the lower margin is slightly thicker and that it will have a column at the upper end.
