As its launch approaches, the Samsung Galaxy S11 begins to receive the various certificates required to be sold. One is the recently issued Bluetooth certificate for the SM-G988B_DS, SM-G988B and SM-G988BR_DS models.
In the case of the SM-G988, this code name corresponds specifically to the Samsung Galaxy S11 +, the largest in the family. It was previously confirmed in GeekBench tests that this is the code name that corresponds to the equipment.
The remaining code names probably correspond to the Galaxy S11 and supposed "S11e" if Samsung decides to continue in this nomenclature. The equipment will probably be presented at a Samsung Unpacked event in 2020.
Samsung Galaxy S11 + expected specifications
- 6.9 inch Super AMOLED display
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990
- 12 GB of RAM
- 512 GB internal storage
- 5000 mAh battery
There is no doubt that the technical features of the Galaxy S11 + will be monstrous. One of the biggest points of interest will be the upgrade to a 120Hz refresh rate screen, something unheard of in the brand. Since OnePlus is already doing it successfully, Samsung has to be next to follow.
Cameras may have a vertical configuration
Breaking the trend of past models, the Galaxy S11 may have a vertical camera configuration, according to OnLeaks renders. The image shows a module with 6 distinct cameras.
As expected, the cameras should include a main, telephoto, macro and ultra-angular sensor. In addition, it is rumored that Samsung will include its massive 108 MP sensor in the Galaxy S11 +, raising the photographic quality of the equipment.
