For now it's just a rumor, but the reputed leaker Ice Universe has revealed the likely release date of the Samsung Galaxy S11. According to this, it will occur on February 18, 2020.
The source reveals that the event will be in San Francisco, in the United States. The same day, Samsung should also unveil its shell-folding smartphone, which it should call Galaxy Fold 2.
This is a date that clearly meets Samsung's usual timeline. According to the Korean press, the device can reach the Snapdragon 865 in the country and other regions. However, Europe should continue to rely on Samsung's Exynos processor.
This would be really good news if Samsung chose to place Qualcomm's processor on all devices, regardless of region. If only in Europe the device sold with Exynos, users will not like the idea.
Three variants of the Galaxy S11 will be released
This rumor meets what was expected. Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S11 before MWC 2020 and just like last year we will have three variants of this device: S11e, S11 and S11 +.
Rumor has it, the Galaxy S11 will hit the market with a curved screen and a hole in the center. In the rear will presumably be five cameras, the main one being the 108MP sensor, which we know from the Xiaomi Mi Note 10.
