Samsung Galaxy S10e: the supposed "cheap" family smartphone

Just yesterday we launched a more comprehensive article about Samsung's future range. The Galaxy S10 is on its way, due for release on February 20th.

The Korean giant will reveal the next line of flagships in its Unpacked event. However, there is a family element that will be a more "budget friendly" option. Really?

According to Androidheadlines, an information leak from a German site brought us more details about the Galaxy S10e, the starter device in the range.

Galaxy S10e features indicate it won't be that cheap

Firstly we have its 5.8 inch screen. All three models are expected to have 2K resolution Super AMOLED panels on a completely smooth, no-curves screen. Note the notch in the "hole" where the front camera resides.

Second is the biometric reader. According to the pictures will not be on the back cover. Considering that there is so much talk about the supposed super sonic reader under the glass, it's a possibility. There is also the possibility of placing the sensor on the side of the power button.

Thirdly we are also supposed to have a 3.5mm jack and also the dual camera flash setup. The Galaxy S10 and S10 + will obviously be more powerful in the photographic department.

Finally in the performance field the new Galaxy S10 will come in three memory variants. The Galaxy S10e will be the most "humble" with a mere 4 / 6GB / 128GB, which already puts it well in the flagship field. Not to mention the Snapdragon 855 CPU that will power these devices.

In short, don't expect this budget version to have a low price tag. Rumors indicate that prices for new Samsung devices will be around € 780 to even € 1200 on the Plus model.
