The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 brings a new range of features to DeX that make it even easier to use. With the brand new high end you can connect your smartphone directly to any Windows or Mac computer.
According to Ishan Agarwal, the Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 will also receive these features. This will happen with the availability of One UI 2.0 for the referred models.
The second version of Samsung's interface will reach these devices when Android Q becomes available. This distribution should take place at different times, and it is expected that the Galaxy S9, for example, will only receive this. firmware early 2020.
What's new about DeX with the Galaxy Note 10?
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is by nature a smartphone dedicated to productivity, but it may be even more powerful when accompanied by DeX. With a new range of features that I will list next, everything will be even more intuitive:
- Connect smartphone directly to any Mac or Windows 10 computer
- Use that computer mouse and keyboard
- Transfer files between PC and smartphone with a simple drag / paste
The possibility of connecting the Galaxy Note 10 directly to your PC will certainly be very well received. Until now, you would have to connect your smartphone to its own accessory and it would have to be connected to a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
From now on, simply connect your smartphone to your PC via cable to make it work. You will have a window with the mobile device interface and access to all applications installed on it.
All of this will also be available for older tops in the coming months. Certainly One UI 2.0 will bring more news to the models contemplated and these will be announced over the coming months.
